Stand-Up Comedy — Production Design Archive

A selection of Jonathan Paul Green's production design and set design for stand-up comedy specials, live recordings and DVD productions.

Jonathan has designed performance environments for some of the UK's best-known comedians, including Sarah Millican, Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert, Jim Jefferies, Jason Manford and Frankie Boyle.

Designing for stand-up requires creating a distinctive visual identity that complements the individual performer while working successfully for both the live audience and the recorded production. Sets must accommodate multiple cameras, lighting, staging and sightlines without distracting from the performance itself.

This archive brings together selected stand-up productions from Jonathan's career, ranging from intimate performance environments to large-scale theatrical stages created for television, streaming and DVD releases.
