Brass Eye
Production Design
Brass Eye is one of British television's most distinctive and provocative comedy series, created by Chris Morris and known for its uncompromising satire of news, current affairs and media culture.
Jonathan Paul Green's production design work on Brass Eye contributed to the programme's visual world, drawing on the familiar conventions of television news, documentary and factual programming to support its unconventional comedy.
The series' distinctive approach to satire relied on presenting absurd situations within recognisable television environments, where the credibility of the setting was often essential to the humour.
Sets include the News Studio and Answer Prancer, along with location set pieces like ‘Sutcliffe The Musical’, a corner shope exploded by rice and water, building a fake cow launcher, building a giant Cake tablet and many more.
