Seasons 2, 3 & 4, for BBC and Showtime
Jonathan Paul Green was Production Designer on Seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Episodes, the BBC and Showtime comedy starring Matt LeBlanc, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan.
Filmed in both London and Los Angeles across all three seasons, the production design created the series’ distinctive LA world through a combination of studio-built sets and practical locations. Sets included the network offices and executive spaces, Sean and Beverly’s home and offices, Matt’s dressing room, the Pucks! production environment and the Vivaldi Awards.
A key part of the design was maintaining a convincing visual relationship between sets and locations filmed on both sides of the Atlantic, while reflecting the polished — and frequently absurd — world of American television at the heart of the comedy.
Across the three seasons, the sets needed to accommodate the practical demands of filming and the evolving story while maintaining the visual continuity and character of the series.
